The airfield tow bar for the Su-33 in 1:72 scale is a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin model of the tow bar for the Su-33 carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The bar connects the nose landing gear of the aircraft to a tractor and is used when the machine is moved. Printing in resin holds even the thin lugs and pins. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for a scene on a deck or at an airfield.
On the deck of an aircraft carrier, aircraft cannot do without towing at all. There is little room, the machines are moved between the elevator, the hangar and the launch position, and taxiing under their own power would be dangerous in a space that cramped. Deck tractors and tow bars therefore belong to the busiest equipment on a ship, and in a diorama they give away at once that the scene is not on dry land.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface; the lugs on the ends are thin. Sand the marks off with fine abrasive paper, wet. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Equipment on a deck is exposed to salt haze, so choose weathering that leans toward gray and add a hint of corrosion on the edges.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
