The airfield towbar for the Yak-130 in 1:72 is a printed piece of ground equipment for dioramas. An airplane model it is not.
Responsibility details are not available.
A piece of ground equipment in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models, printed from photopolymer. The manufacturer describes it as a towing device for moving aircraft around an airfield and lists it for types of the Yak-130. Neither an aircraft model nor a tug is included in the package.
A towbar is the rigid link between an airfield tug and the nose leg of the landing gear. Without it an aircraft will not be moved around the apron, because it maneuvers on its own engine only to a limited extent and cannot reverse at all. The Yak-130 is a two-seat jet trainer and light attack aircraft on which ground moves happen very often, because it serves above all for training and flies in quick succession.
The parts are printed from photopolymer and are held on thin print supports; cut those away with a scalpel and sand the pad. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Airfield equipment used to be in metal and warning shades, so after a filler primer a dark wash into the detail and fine chipping on the edges will stand out. Hold the small parts with tweezers. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
