B-13L rocket pod, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet B-13L pod for unguided rockets, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet B-13L rocket pod in 1:48 scale. It is an accessory for the external stores, not an aircraft model. The print can manage the launch tubes inside the pod to their full depth, which is exactly what an injection mold cannot deliver.
The B-13L pod is a magazine for large-caliber unguided rockets that is hung under the wing of attack and fighter-bomber aircraft and of attack helicopters. It carries a smaller number of powerful rockets, unlike pods for small calibers, which hold several dozen. Larger-caliber rockets are intended against harder targets, for example equipment shelters. On a model the pod is a prominent cylindrical body with visible tube mouths.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
