Resin Japanese 250-kilogram bombs in 1:72 scale, two pieces in the box, are an accessory to a kit, not an aircraft model. They replace the simplified external stores from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit or a finished model. The box holds two castings in modeling resin representing a Japanese aerial bomb in the 250-kilogram weight category, and it serves to fit out an aircraft model with external stores. The casting replaces the part from the kit where that part is coarse or missing. The accessory is made by Brengun of the Czech Republic.
The body of a bomb is a smooth body of revolution and the fins, by contrast, are very thin. It is exactly this combination that gives injected plastic trouble, because the parting plane runs across the smooth surface and has to be laboriously sanded away. A resin casting is usually in one piece with the casting block in a single place, so the surface stays clean.
Wash the castings in warm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw and level the area with a file or abrasive paper; when sanding resin, do not inhale the dust and preferably work with water. It is bonded with super glue, both to a plastic pylon and to itself. A bomb is best painted on its own before it is glued on, and only then seated on the model, so that you can reach underneath it as well. Apply a primer before spraying.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
