The paint

A modeling paint with the designation BN06. The shade is listed as green, with no closer definition of the tone, so judge the particular shade from the manufacturer's color chart or from a test patch. The item belongs to the Mr.Color range of the brand Gunze. The paint is meant for painting models and it suits a brush as well as an airbrush.

How to work with the paint

Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom and without stirring the shade is not right. Apply it in several thin coats and let the paint set between them; one thick coat floods the engraving and traces of the brush will stay in it. Choose the thinner and the cleaning agent according to the manufacturer's instructions for this range and use them straight after the work, because a dried film is considerably harder to remove. Do not thin the paint with water unless the instructions expressly say so.

Before you put it on the model

First wash and degrease the model, as the paint holds badly on a greasy surface. Try the shade and the resulting sheen on an offcut of plastic and judge them in daylight, since the paint looks different in the bottle than on an area. Apply masks only onto a properly dry coat and lift them off slowly and at an angle. Check mixing with the paints of other makers beforehand, also on an offcut.

Terms of supply

The package holds the paint only. The thinner, the brushes, the airbrushes and the model are not part of it, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the paint carefully closed and out of the reach of children.
