Vallejo Metal Color — Chrome

A metallic acrylic (water-thinnable) paint from the Vallejo Metal Color line, 32 ml volume. Chrome is a highly glossy, mirror-chrome shade with a fine metallic pigment. The paint is designed primarily for airbrush and offers excellent adhesion to plastic and metal. The Metal Color line is based on ultra-fine aluminum pigments, dries quickly, and preserves the model's fine detail. The best mirror effect comes from a smooth, ideally glossy black base — the more perfect the base, the more pronounced the shine.

Use

  • Apply with an airbrush in thin coats; a brush also works.
  • For maximum shine, apply over a smooth, glossy black base.
  • Mix thoroughly before use, since the pigment settles to the bottom.
  • Apply the metallic coat toward the end — it is harder to mask and overspray.
