Responsibility details are not available.
Faded Gray is a faded gray, that is the tone a gray finish shifts to after a long spell in the sun, the rain and the wind. The word Flat in the name marks the matte version with no gloss, which matches the ordinary look of equipment in service and at the same time takes further modeling work well.
The paint can be applied with a brush as well as an airbrush. Under a matte coat it pays to lay a base color down: it evens the absorbency of the surface out and the shade then sits evenly over the whole area. Work in several thin coats and let the surface flash off between them. A single thick coat fills the fine relief in and robs the model of the rivets and the recessed detail on which the work shows most in the end.
Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and use the thinner meant for this range. Clean the brushes and the airbrush in the same thinner right after work, as dried paint is far harder to get out of a nozzle. Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles to the bottom during storage.
A faded gray in a matte version suits aircraft as well as military models wherever the fading of a base finish is being worked with. It also serves well as a lighter tone for lightening areas inside panels or for building a shade up gradually over large surfaces.
The paint is supplied on its own; the thinner, brushes and other aids are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
