The gray-violet RLM 75 (in German Grauviolett) from Vallejo. It is a water-thinnable acrylic in a flat finish in a dropper bottle with a volume of 17 ml. It belongs to the Model Air line, which comes pre-thinned for the airbrush and sprays straight from the bottle; the thick Model Color line, by contrast, is meant for the brush and has to be thinned before spraying. It is a modeling paint, not a kit.
RLM 75 is one of the basic colors of the Luftwaffe and a key component of late German camouflage. From 1941 until the end of the war it appears on the upper surfaces of fighters — single-engine, heavy and night fighters alike — typically paired with RLM 74 on the spine and above the light blue RLM 76 on the undersides and the sides of the fuselage. It is precisely the combination of RLM 74/75/76 that makes up the classic scheme of German fighters of the middle and late phase of the war; in 1944 and 1945 RLM 75 is commonly met with later greens and browns as well.
For modelers of German Second World War aircraft — practically no late fighter camouflage can do without RLM 75. It also serves as a general cool gray-violet for modulating and shading other gray surfaces. The paint is water-thinnable and the airbrush and brushes clean up with water or an acrylic cleaner.
A modeling paint for the airbrush and the brush, not a kit. Ensure good ventilation while spraying and protect your airways (a respirator), ideally use a spray booth. Keep out of the reach of children.
