A resin Kh-35UE anti-ship guided missile in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. Printing in resin manages the deployed fins and the air intake on the underside of the body in one piece. It is not an aircraft model but a separate piece of armament to be hung under the wing of a finished model.
The Kh-35 is a subsonic anti-ship missile with a jet engine that flies just above the water and in the final phase finds the target with a radar seeker of its own. It is precisely the low flight over the water that is meant to cut the defender's time to react. The upgraded version marked UE has an extended reach and reworked equipment. The missile is carried on aircraft and also in coastal and shipboard launchers, so its shape is well known among current anti-ship weapons.
The fins are thin, so release the parts from the supports over a working surface. Sand the marks left by the supports wet and with respiratory protection. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Clean up and smooth the air intake; it is the most conspicuous detail of the underside. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; fit the fins only once the body is painted.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
