A resin Kh-38 air-to-ground guided missile in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The set is printed in resin, so it carries the sharp edges of the fins and the relief of the rear section. It is not an aircraft model but a separate piece of armament for under the wing of a finished model.
The Kh-38 is a current Russian tactical air-to-ground missile built as a modular family. The basic body stays the same and the guidance section changes, so one design covers laser, imaging and radar guidance plus an inertial system with satellite correction. The missile is intended against ground targets at short and medium range and is carried by current Russian combat aircraft. For a modeler it is the armament that on the latest generation of machines replaces the older types from the 1980s.
Release the parts from the supports over a working surface and without bending them. Sand the marks with fine paper, wet and with respiratory protection. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Current munitions tend to be in a single light shade with narrow color bands, which are best handled with thin masking tape. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
