A resin Kh-59M air-to-ground guided missile in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The resin print manages the long body, the folding surfaces and the engine nacelle under the missile's body. It is not an aircraft model but a separate store to be hung under the wing of a finished model.
The Kh-59 is a Soviet air-to-ground missile with an unusual solution: under its body it carries a nacelle with a small jet engine, which lets it fly tens of kilometers. The guidance is by television with a picture relayed to the cockpit, so the operator can see on the screen where the missile is heading and can bring it exactly to the spot of his choosing. The carrier, meanwhile, stays out of reach of the target's defenses. On a model the missile is unmistakable precisely by its engine nacelle.
Release the long body from the supports on a flat work mat so that it does not bow. Sand the marks down with fine paper and wet sand, with respiratory protection. Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Clean out the engine air intake and darken it; it is the most noticeable detail of the underside. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
