MG 81Z - 3D-printed twin machine gun 1:48 is a set of two fine replicas of the German twin aircraft weapon for detailed arming of models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an aftermarket detail set, not an airplane model. The box contains 2 pieces of a 3D-printed replica of the German MG 81Z twin weapon in 1:48 scale. The Z designation (Zwilling, meaning twin) stands for a twin mount with two coupled barrels. The set replaces the simplified parts from a kit with faithfully rendered machine guns.
The MG 81Z was a coupled 7.92 mm aircraft machine gun which, thanks to its twin barrels, doubled the firepower of defensive positions. It was used above all in the tail and ventral gun positions of German bombers. A faithful part markedly raises the realism of open gun positions.
Carefully separate the fine parts from the print supports and clean them up. Super glue is recommended for bonding. Before fitting them, spray the parts with primer and a metal color; glue the coupled barrels only at the end of the build so that they are not damaged.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
