AL-41F1S exhaust nozzles for the Su-35 in 1:48 scale are a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models. Thrust-vectoring nozzles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of exhaust nozzles for the AL-41F1S engines of a Su-35 model in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. On this aircraft the nozzle is the most interesting detail of the whole tail end, because it tilts and on a parked machine tends to be drooped. Printing in resin manages the assembly of petals and the external rods in one piece. It is not a kit but replacement parts for a model.
The AL-41F1S is a turbofan engine with an afterburner developed for the Su-35. Against the earlier generation it gives more thrust and its nozzle tilts, so the aircraft can change the direction of thrust and stay controllable even in regimes where the control surfaces lose their effect. Both nozzles tilt independently, which allows maneuvers that a conventionally controlled machine cannot perform. In photographs from the flight line they tend to be drooped, each at a slightly different angle.
Release the nozzles from the supports with a scalpel and level the mating edge on abrasive paper on glass. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the inside before you fit the nozzle to the fuselage. If you set them drooped, check the angle on the finished model so that it looks natural. Build the heat discoloration up in very thin layers.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
