A detail set from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models in 1:72 scale, printed from photopolymer. For it the manufacturer gives the full range of highly detailed aircraft ejector and launch equipment for the upgraded MiG-29 SMT version. The set fills out the stores of a finished kit and does not make up an aircraft model itself.
The MiG-29 SMT is the upgraded form of the tactical fighter with an enlarged fuselage spine and new avionics, thanks to which it also took newer types of armament. The set of carriage equipment matches that: an ejector rack throws a bomb or a missile downward away from the aircraft, while a launch rail guides a missile that takes off under its own motor. These parts are clearly visible on a model, and yet a kit usually simplifies them.
The parts are printed from photopolymer, so thin print supports are left on them. Cut them away with a sharp scalpel or photo-etch nippers and sand the pad they leave with fine abrasive paper. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue, because polystyrene cement has no effect on this material. Lay down a filler primer before painting; it will at the same time reveal any remains of the supports. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
