R-37M guided missile, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin replica of the modern Russian very-long-range air-to-air missile in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a 3D-printed resin replica of the R-37M air-to-air guided missile in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the external stores. In 1:48 scale it is a very long piece, on which the detail of the body and of the folding tail surfaces stands out.
The R-37M is a modern Russian very-long-range air-to-air missile, intended mainly for upgraded MiG-31 interceptors. Its guidance is combined, and over the final stretch of the flight it looks for the target with an active radar of its own. Its task is to hit large, slow targets such as airborne early warning and tanker aircraft deep behind the line. The missile is exceptionally long and heavy, so only a few types can carry it.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
