Sensors and antennas for the MiG-25, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin set of antennas and air pressure sensors for a MiG-25 model in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a complete range of the antennas and air pressure sensors fitted to MiG-25 aircraft of the various modifications, in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a replacement for the small parts that are always thickened in injection-molded plastic and stand out on a finished model.
The MiG-25 came in a whole series of versions, from interceptors through reconnaissance machines to a special version for suppressing air defenses. The individual modifications differ on the outside precisely in the placement and number of antennas and sensors, so it is by these that a machine is identified. The pressure and angle-of-attack sensors are in reality thin rods and vanes whose scale thickness a mold cannot deliver. On a model they are right there at first glance.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Number the small parts before you cut them off the supports, because once severed they are easy to mix up.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
