A resin set of sensors and antennas for a model of the Su-27 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. These are the small protruding parts on the airframe, which in plastic are usually thicker than the scale would call for, because a mold will not hold a thinner shape. Printed resin manages even very fine sections. It is not a kit but an accessory for your own model.
The Su-27 carries a whole range of sensors and antennas all over the airframe: probes for measuring speed and angle of attack on the nose, antennas for the radio equipment and transponders on the spine and on the underside of the fuselage, and sensors for the radar warning system. On the real machine these are thin, fragile items that the ground crew watched especially closely. On a model they are exactly the small thing that decides the impression of the whole.
The parts are very small, so work over a surface and with tweezers that have smooth jaws. Cut the supports off with a new scalpel blade; never break them. First cut the original plastic stubs off the model and smooth the area. Fit the set only once the varnishing of the airframe is finished, so that masking tape does not catch on it. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue, applied with a pin in the tiniest drop.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
