A resin set of landing gear wheels for a model of the MiG-29 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The wheel is one of the few parts on a model that gets looked at closely from every side, and the plastic version always has a parting line down the middle. Printed resin is free of it and manages the tread pattern and the detailed hub as well. It is not a kit but replacement parts for your own model.
The MiG-29 has a nose landing gear leg with two wheels placed far back under the air intakes and two main legs that retract into the fuselage. The design allowed for operating from lower-quality surfaces, so the machine has a protective guard above the nose gear against thrown-up stones and the air intakes were closed off while taxiing. The wheels are therefore more important on this type than on machines built only for concrete runways.
Cut the print supports off with a scalpel and sand the spot, so that the wheel sits square to the leg. Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the tire a very dark gray and the hub separately, following the real thing. Handle the transition between hub and tire with a circular mask or with patient work with a brush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
