Replacement landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models. For the wheels for the upgraded SMT version the manufacturer describes finely detailed nose and braked wheels in the weighted state and a nose gear mudguard of the correct shape; the parts are printed from photopolymer. This item is listed with the additional marking 3D.
The MiG-29 SMT is the upgraded form of the Soviet tactical fighter with an enlarged fuselage spine, which took another fuel tank and newer avionics. The higher takeoff weight shows in a heavier load on the landing gear, so the flattening of the tires is even more evident on this form. The power is provided by two RD-33 turbofan engines with afterburners.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pad where it will not be seen. Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Lay down a filler primer before painting and paint the tires a very dark gray rather than black. Dust pigment on the sidewalls and in the tread gives the wheels depth. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
