A resin set of landing gear wheels for a model of the Su-34 strike aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. Printing in resin renders the tread pattern and the shape of the hub without the parting line that runs down the middle of a plastic wheel. The manufacturer also makes a set for this type intended for the later machines. It is not a kit but replacement parts.
The Su-34 is a heavy strike aircraft whose take-off weight went up by several tons against the fighters of the same family. It carries an armored cockpit for two crew members seated side by side and a large load of armament, so the landing gear received a strengthened arrangement and the main legs carry wheels set one behind the other. On a model this arrangement is clearly visible and worth paying attention to.
Cut the supports off with a scalpel and level the mating spots, so that both wheels on a leg stand in one plane. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the tire a very dark gray and the hub separately, following the real thing, and use a circular mask on the transition.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
