For this set the manufacturer gives finely detailed nose and braked wheels in the weighted state and a nose gear mudguard of the correct shape. It replaces the plastic wheels from the kit, but it does not make up an aircraft model.
The Su-57 is a Russian twin-engine combat aircraft of the new generation with surfaces shaped to cut radar reflectivity and with internal weapons bays. The high takeoff weight shows on the landing gear as well, and its tires are clearly weighted on a standing aircraft. Because the aircraft is fairly new, plastic kits are still catching up with some details of the landing gear.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pad they leave, ideally on the side that sits on the ground. Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Lay down a filler primer before painting. Do not paint the tires pure black; a very dark gray with a lighter dust pigment on the sidewalls and in the tread is better. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
