Ne. Mr.Color je laková (nitro) barva na bázi organických rozpouštědel a vodou se ředit nedá. Ředí se lakovým ředidlem téže značky (Mr.Color Thinner nebo Leveling Thinner). Vodou ředitelný akryl nabízí stejný výrobce v samostatné řadě Aqueous Hobby Color — jsou to dvě různé chemie, které nelze zaměňovat.

Japonské válečné lodě měly velkou část palubních ploch krytou skutečným linoleem, ne dřevem. Materiál byl lehčí a méně náročný na údržbu a měl přirozeně hnědočervený až okrový tón, který tato barva reprodukuje.

Linoleum bylo k palubě přichyceno kovovými lištami, které tvoří charakteristické podélné pásy. Po zaschnutí základního hnědého odstínu se lišty obvykle zvýrazňují tenkou linkou mosazné nebo zlaté barvy — je to typický a hodně viditelný detail japonských lodí.

Lakové barvy jsou k plastu agresivnější než akryly. Nanášejte je proto v tenkých vrstvách a nechte je mezi vrstvami zaschnout; silná mokrá vrstva může povrch narušit nebo zalít ryté detaily. Při práci vždy dobře větrejte.
