LIGHT GREY MATT PRIMER Spray for Plastic, Metal & Resin 400ml

Light gray matte primer spray from Titans Hobby

A matte base coat in a four hundred milliliter aerosol can, intended for plastic, metal and resin. Light gray is the most versatile choice: it does not distort the shade that goes on top of it, and at the same time every unevenness in the surface shows up clearly on it. The primer unifies a surface made up of different materials, brings out unfinished joints that you still have time to fix once it is on, and above all gives the next coat of paint something to hold on to. The manufacturer describes it as acrylic and states that acrylic, enamel and lacquer paints can all be applied over it, by brush and by airbrush alike.

Use

• a base coat under paint on models and figures
• unifying a surface made up of plastic, metal and resin
• checking joints and filling before painting
• a base color in its own right where the shade suits

How to spray it

Shake the can thoroughly before use and let both the model and the spray come up to room temperature, because a cold surface and a cold can make for a grainy coat. Spray from a distance of roughly fifteen to twenty centimeters and in thin coats. According to the manufacturer the surface is touch dry in about fifteen minutes and fully dry in about three quarters of an hour. Two thin coats are better than one heavy one, which would flood the engraved lines.

Who the spray is for

For modelers who want a quick, even base without an airbrush, and for anyone building from several materials at once.

This is a pressurized can with flammable contents. Spray outdoors or in a well-ventilated space, away from open flame and sources of sparks, and protect your airways. Do not expose the can to temperatures above fifty degrees, do not pierce it or throw it into a fire, and store it out of the reach of children.
