A Tamiya modeling paint from the LP range in a smoke shade designated LP-67. It suits dirtying surfaces and suggesting exhaust stains.
Responsibility details are not available.
Smoke is among the shades that serve on a model not as a base coat but as a final layer. It is used where a surface is to look smoky or dirty: around exhausts and gun muzzles, on the exhaust stains trailing along a fuselage, in the corners and seams where dirt settles. It also serves well for tying together a finish that came out too varied after painting, because a smoky cast reduces the differences between the individual fields.
Stir the contents of the bottle well before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom while standing. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, that is the thinner meant for this range. Apply several thin coats rather than one heavy one and let the paint set between them, otherwise the shade settles unevenly and brings out every transition. Try the effect first on an offcut or on a piece of plastic painted with the same base as the model, so that you know how strongly the shade takes on that surface.
Close the bottle carefully after use, otherwise the paint thickens. Work in a well-ventilated area and follow the safety instructions on the packaging. Flush the airbrush right after spraying.
Thinner, brushes and a model are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
