Gunze Mr. Brush Stand is a stand for resting and drying brushes that keeps the tip in the right position and protects the shape of the brush.

A brush stand from Gunze. It serves for resting brushes during work and for drying them after washing out. It holds the brushes in the right position, so the tip is neither bent nor crushed and neither paint nor water runs down to the metal ferrule.
A brush must never be left standing tip down in a jar: the tip bends, deforms permanently and the brush is ruined. Laying it on the table is no better, as the tip gets flattened and the remaining paint dries near the ferrule. The stand holds brushes so that water and thinner run away from the ferrule and the tip keeps its shape. Brushes then last far longer, which is a simple way to get the full working life out of good brushes.
For anyone who paints models or figures and wants to keep the brushes in condition and the bench tidy. It goes well with the brushes themselves, a brush cleaner and other bench organizers.
