Mr. Color matte varnish in a spray can (Gunze)

A clear matte finishing varnish in a spray can from Gunze (GSI Creos). It belongs to the Mr. Color range, so it is a lacquer, solvent-based product, not a water-thinnable acrylic. It is applied as a final clear coat that unifies the sheen into a matte surface, protects the paint and the decals and suppresses unwanted reflections. A volume of 40 ml.

Use

• A final matte coat over a painted and decaled model
• It unifies the different sheen of paints and settles the decals without visible edges
• It is sprayed in thin coats from a sufficient distance, so that the surface does not go white
• Suitable only once the lower coats and any gloss varnish under the decals have dried

Who it is for

For modelers who want a quick and reliable matte finish without an airbrush. Because it is a solvent-based lacquer, check its compatibility with the coats underneath; with delicate paints test a trial area first.

Flammable. Use it in a well-ventilated area away from sources of ignition, ideally with a respirator. The varnish is not water-thinnable.
