A Gunze Mr.Color modeling paint from the basic C range in the light blue shade RLM 65.
Responsibility details are not available.
The light blue under number 65 belongs to the German RLM system, by which the shades of aircraft finishes were recorded before and during the Second World War. It is a pale blue tone that was applied to the lower surfaces of the fuselage, the wings and the tail surfaces, because from below it blended with the sky. In later years it was replaced on many machines by lighter and grayer shades, but RLM 65 stayed in use for a very long time and is one of the most frequently needed colors on models of German aircraft.
You will use the shade anywhere a model needs a pale blue underside: on fighters, bombers, floatplanes and training machines. It also comes into its own as the light component when mixing and as a base for the gradual lightening of surfaces by which the play of light is suggested on large areas. Other shades are recorded in the same system, so this tone goes together with them without trouble.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use, because the pigment settles to the bottom. Apply in thin coats onto a clean, degreased and dust-free surface, ideally over a primer that evens out the absorbency of the plastic, the putty and the accessories. The thinning, the cleaning of tools and the recommended pressure when spraying follow the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; use the thinner intended for this range of paints. Varnish the area under the decals with a gloss varnish, and a final varnish will then unify the surface.
What is supplied is the paint alone. The thinner, the primer, the final varnish and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
