This is a resin accessory set, not a model of a ship in its own right. The set contains an assortment of small sailing boats in 1:700 scale that will bring a harbor or naval diorama, or a scene around larger ship models, to life. Fine photo-etched parts are usually included as well.
Small sailing boats serve to fill the water around the main ship and to complete a harbor, a berth or a coastal scene. They give a display case a sense of scale and of life on the water, and they suit models of warships and civilian ships alike as an addition.
First wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks and lightly sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Once the base coat is on you will appreciate gentle shading of the wooden hulls and the sails, and a matte varnish to even the surface out.
The set contains resin accessories, not the main ship model. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
