The newer lightweight version of the water and dirt trap that goes between the compressor and the airbrush. It works like the others: compressed air condenses in the compressor and water forms in the hose, which would otherwise travel all the way to the nozzle and spit into fresh paint — making craters and stains and ruining the finish. This is one of the most common frustrations of beginners, the eternal question of why an airbrush spits. The II Light version catches the water, the fine dirt and the oil before they reach the paint. It combines a light aluminum body with air pressure control.

Use

• It fits onto the airbrush; it matches the standard connection (1/8 inch thread, S).
• The light aluminum body puts less load on the hand and does not upset the balance of the airbrush.
• A screw lets you fine-tune the flow and lower the air pressure right at the nozzle.
• Drain the collected water as needed; it pays off above all in damp conditions and during longer sessions.

For modelers who want the lightest possible trap and will also appreciate being able to fine-tune the pressure right on the airbrush. It belongs to the Drain & Dust Catcher family together with the basic version, version II and the lightweight Light. It is the best-equipped release of the line — it combines low weight with pressure control.
