The OFAB-100-120 bomb with a multiple ejector rack 1:32 is a 3D printed resin set of aerial bombs of the 100 kilogram class with a multiple ejector rack, in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set combines 3D printed resin replicas of the OFAB-100-120 bomb with a multiple ejector rack, on which an aircraft carries several bombs on one pylon. In 1:32 scale this is an accessory for the underwing armament, not a model of an aircraft. The print holds the body of the bomb as well as the fine lugs and linkages of the rack.
The OFAB-100-120 is a Soviet high-explosive fragmentation aerial bomb of the one hundred kilogram weight class and is among the most widespread munitions of tactical aviation. The MBD2-67U multiple ejector rack carries up to four bombs of up to the one hundred kilogram class and was used on the MiG-21, MiG-23, MiG-27, MiG-29K, Su-25 and Yak-38 aircraft as well as on helicopters. Small bombs on a rack made it possible to hit several targets during a single pass. In pictures of attack machines the arrangement is clearly apparent.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
