The figure shows a female pilot of the Republic of China Air Force, that is, of Taiwan, in flight gear. It is intended for models of the F-CK-1, the local light combat aircraft for which additions of this kind are hard to come by elsewhere. A figure beside the finished machine gives the model its scale and turns it into a scene without your having to build a whole diorama.
It is a figure in 1:48 scale. At this size the figure stands roughly three and a half centimeters tall, which is on the border where the expression of the face already shows but a small inaccuracy in the painting still passes. The exact contents of the package and the recommended procedure are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting so that the primer holds. Cut off surplus material with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand down the rest, so that the figure sits level and does not rock. Match the choice of glue to the material: polystyrene cement has no effect on parts that are not polystyrene, and cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) is used instead. Apply the paint in several thin coats and give the most time to the face, because that is what draws attention on a figure first.
The set is for modelers building Republic of China Air Force equipment who want a matching figure for it; but it will also serve as a general aviation figure in 1:48 scale. The aircraft model is not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
