Lowered landing flaps for the 1:144 Airbus A300-600R model are offered by this resin set from LACI. The kit of the aircraft has to be obtained separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
A replacement trailing edge of the wing cast in resin. The closed surfaces from the box are replaced by parts with the flaps in the down position, so the finished model looks as though it were just descending to the threshold of the runway. Anyone who builds aircraft for a display case of models in motion gets exactly the detail the plastic lacks.
The Airbus A300 was the first twin-engined widebody airliner in the world and it set the whole European consortium program going. The later A300-600 version took over the shortened rear fuselage from the smaller A310 type, received a modern cockpit for a two-member crew and new avionics. The letter R in the designation stands for an auxiliary fuel tank in the horizontal tail, with which the aircraft fine-tuned its trim and extended its range. The machines were built from the mid-1980s and to this day serve mainly in freighter form with express carriers.
Before building, degrease the castings in a lukewarm bath with detergent, or neither paint nor glue will hold. Remove the casting remnants with a file and fine abrasive, ideally under running water because of the dust. Dry fit the seating, and only then reach for super glue. An acrylic primer and ordinary modeling paint will handle the painting.
