The 1:72 BAC 1-11 landing flaps is a printed resin set for experienced modelers, which replaces the retracted flaps of the wing with lowered ones.
Responsibility details are not available.
A printed resin accessory for reworking the wing of a British jet airliner. It is not a model of an aircraft but replacement parts that are worked into a kit, which has to be obtained separately. The 3D printing technology allows thin trailing edges and fine engraving that injection molded plastic cannot manage in this scale.
The BAC One-Eleven was a twin-engined machine for short routes which first took off in 1963. It carried the engines on the sides of the rear fuselage and had the horizontal tail surface set at the top of the fin, a layout typical of the whole generation of aircraft of this size at the time. It flew with British and overseas companies, and some of the machines served in freight and corporate roles long after production ended.
The printed parts have a smooth surface, but wash and degrease them before painting all the same. Snip the print supports off with nippers and level the marks they leave with a fine file. Use super glue to join them, and on larger mating areas a thicker gel variant with a longer setting time will help. Thin parts remain fragile, so handle them carefully and preferably only after the base coat has been applied.
The package contains only the resin parts, without paints and without glue.
