The 1:72 Boeing 737 MAX open LEAP-1B engine is a printed resin set of the nacelle with the cowlings swung open, for advanced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
The modern powerplant of the newest 737 series, rendered in resin and with the cowlings open. The accessory replaces the nacelle from the kit and reveals what is normally hidden under the cowlings. The aircraft itself and its parts are not included; the package covers the propulsion alone, in 1:72 scale.
The LEAP-1B engine is the only powerplant the Boeing 737 MAX is sold with. Against older types it has a markedly larger fan diameter, and that is why the nacelle had to be moved forwards and upwards; the designers also flattened it underneath so that sufficient ground clearance remained. It is precisely this intake profile that is the most striking identifying mark of the whole series, and it is worth devoting attention to it on a model.
The thin fan blades are easily damaged, so handle the part by its solid sections and remove the print supports gradually. Before painting, rid the surface of dust, or every speck will show on the smooth resin. Finish the inside of the cowlings separately and only then join the assembly with super glue. Titanium and gray shades come out well when an even base is applied underneath them.
It is a separately sold accessory, without paints, glue and the plastic subject.
