Double-sided masks for the Bf 109 G-6 in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Omask. Masks for the outer and the inner side of the glazing; this is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a masking set, not a model. The double-sided version means that the package holds masks not only for the outer but also for the inner side of the glazing. There is a specific reason for that. On the real aircraft the canopy frame was painted on both sides, in a different shade inside from outside. If you mask only from the outside, the inner side of the frame stays clear and it shows when you look into the cockpit. Masking from the inside and spraying the interior color removes this shortcoming and the glazing looks like real glass in a frame.
The Bf 109 G-6 was the most widespread version of the German fighter of the Second World War. It was powered by a liquid-cooled inverted V12. The cockpit had an intricate frame made up of a number of parts, and rendering it precisely is the most conspicuous mark of good work on a model.
The set is for modelers who want the frame correctly painted on the inside as well and are not content with a method that leaves clear plastic visible in the cockpit. The set is cut to the shape of the parts of particular kits, so make sure it matches yours.
This is not a model. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
