Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British multi-purpose twin-engine Avro Anson XIX in 1:144 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom. The model captures the version in civilian postwar service and offers decals for several civilian operators in colorful airline schemes. The very small scale makes the model an undemanding but effective piece for a display case or a collection.
The Avro Anson was a British twin-engine multi-purpose aircraft, originally of military purpose, that found use in training, communications and maritime patrol duties. After the Second World War a number of the XIX version machines went into civilian service — with postwar airlines, on communications and transport flights and with state institutions. Unlike wartime machines these aircraft carried colorful civilian schemes, which makes them an interesting and different subject.
In 1:144 scale the part count is low and the individual parts are small — cut them off and clean them up carefully so that they are not damaged. Mask the small cockpit glazing with a light touch, ideally with thin masking tape or liquid mask. A civilian version calls for a different approach from wartime camouflage: rely on smooth glossy airline finishes and clean color areas. Apply the colorful operator decals onto a perfectly glossy surface so that no silvering arises.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
