A modeling paint from the Gunze Mr.Color range under the manufacturer's part number C068, the shade Red Madder in a gloss finish.
Responsibility details are not available.
Red Madder takes its name from the natural red dye obtained from the root of the madder plant. The tone matches it: a deeper, more muted red with a shift toward wine red, not a garish signal color. The degree of sheen is part of the name of the shade, so a smooth glossy surface remains once it is dry. That makes flowing areas and shape stand out on a model, but at the same time every irregularity in the surface below shows.
A muted red comes into its own on car bodies, on small fittings of vehicles, on warning areas and anywhere a pure bright red would look too hard. It also serves well as a base for later blending or tinting, because it holds no excess of orange. A glossy surface is moreover the usual preparation of an area under decals: on a smooth base no air bubbles form beneath the decal and its edge disappears.
Stir the jar thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom and unstirred paint covers unevenly. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging and use the thinner made for this range; the same goes for cleaning the airbrush and the brushes. Red shades generally cover weakly, so it pays to lay down a light base first and only then spray in two or three light coats. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand and work in a well ventilated area.
The package holds the paint alone. Thinner, cleaner, brushes and spraying equipment are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
