Riveter single 0.70 mm (Be IzzI)

A hand modeling tool for creating imitation rivets from Be IzzI. It is a single-row toothed wheel of hardened steel with a tooth spacing of 0.70 mm, set in an ergonomic handle. Run the wheel over the surface of the model and it leaves a regular row of small impressions which, once painted, look like the rows of rivets on the real skin of an aircraft or a vehicle.

Use

• Guide the wheel along a ruler or a template so that the row of rivets runs straight
• Press the tool down evenly: the pressure decides how deep the impressions are
• The 0.70 mm spacing suits larger scales; other rivet spacings call for wheels with a different pitch
• Always try the pressure on a scrap of plastic before you start

It will be appreciated by modelers who want a more realistic surface, whether to restore rivets lost to sanding or to add missing detail. The single-row version gives full control in curves and along edges as well.
