A resin set of plugs and chocks for a MiG-35 model in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. It holds the equipment that the ground crew fit to a parked aircraft: covers for the openings on the airframe and chocks that keep the machine from moving on the flight line. The set is printed in resin and is meant for a finished model; it is not an aircraft kit.
The MiG-35 is the latest step in the development of the line that began with the MiG-29. Against the original machine it has different equipment, a reworked airframe and differently arranged air intakes, so the shapes of the covers that the crew fit to it differ as well. On the flight line these items stand out mainly because they tend to be in warning colors with long streamers, so that a technician notices them before start-up and takes them off.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface. Sand the mating faces, so that a cover sits tightly. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. The streamers can be suggested with a thin strip of foil or painted fabric, which gives a finished scene some movement. Fit them only once the weathering is done.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
