A resin set of plugs and chocks for a Su-34 model in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. This group of parts covers the openings on the airframe and the chocks that keep the machine from moving on the flight line. The set is printed in resin and completes a finished model; it is not an aircraft kit.
A parked Su-34 often stands on the flight line for several days between flying days, so its openings are covered. That protects the engines from water, dust and birds, and on an aircraft with intakes this large it is no small concern. The wheels are secured with chocks, so that the machine does not roll away on a sloping surface. On a model this equipment gives away at once that this is a scene from an airfield.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade and over a working surface. Sand the mating faces, so that a cover sits down tightly. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. The covers tend to be strikingly colorful, so spray them separately and fit them to the model only once the weathering is finished, so that they stay clean.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
