AK interactive Splatter Effects Wet Mud (100 ml)

An acrylic texture effect from the Spanish brand AK interactive, developed for creating splatters of wet mud on vehicle models, dioramas and vignettes. Its consistency is tuned so that it picks up easily on a brush and can be flicked onto the lower areas of a model, the wheels and the running gear. Once dry it leaves the realistic texture of soaked mud thrown up onto the model. It is not a paint and not a kit, but a consumable weathering material. You control the amount of splatter and the size of the droplets by how much you pick up and how far you hold the brush from the model. The container holds 100 ml.

Use

• Splatters of wet mud on hull undersides, fenders, wheels and vehicle tracks
• Applied by flicking it off a brush with a stick, or by a stream of air from an airbrush blown across the brush
• Thinned with water or acrylic thinner to adjust the flow
• The effect stands out on a smoother surface, where the droplets keep their shape
• It can be layered and combined with other mud and earth effects
