Gunze Mr.Color Intermediate Blue FS35164 (about 10 ml)

A modeling paint from Gunze (Mr. Hobby), the Mr.Color range, in the Intermediate Blue shade to the federal standard FS35164. It is a solvent-based (lacquer) paint, not a water-based acrylic. The intermediate blue shade is part of the three-tone US Navy camouflage scheme of the Second World War, where it formed the transitional color between the darker blue of the upper surfaces and the lighter undersides. The usual bottle volume is about 10 ml. It can be applied with an airbrush and with a brush.

Use

• It is thinned with the thinner of the same manufacturer (Mr.Color or Mr.Color Leveling Thinner).
• For the airbrush it is thinned at roughly 1:1 to 1:2 and applied in thin coats.
• It is applied in several thin coats, so that the surface detail of the model stays visible.
• It dries quickly, which speeds up work with the other shades of the scheme.
• Ideal for the transitional areas of the three-tone naval camouflage.
