US Earth Red 17ml

Vallejo Model Air US Earth Red, 17 ml

An opaque water-based acrylic paint from the Model Air range. The shade is a subdued red-brown, close to the color of brick clay, and serves as a pronounced component of multi-color camouflage. The consistency is matched to an airbrush, so the paint is sprayed without further thinning.

Cleaning the airbrush and maintenance

• A water-based acrylic is easy to clean while it is still wet. Once dry it hardens into a film that water no longer dissolves.
• Rinse the cup with water as soon as you have finished spraying, and only then let the airbrush stand for a while. An airbrush set aside with paint in the cup is the most common cause of a clogged nozzle.
• For thorough cleaning use a cleaner intended for acrylics. Wipe pigment residue off the needle with a soft cloth, drawing from the tip toward the body, never against the point.
• More saturated pigments, among which the red-browns belong, tend to stain the walls of the cup. A mark on the plastic is a cosmetic flaw and does not affect the function.
• Every now and then take the airbrush apart and also clean the space behind the needle packing, where dried paint collects.

Who the paint is for

The paint is for modelers of ground vehicles and dioramas who need a warm earthy tone for camouflage or for terrain. Easy cleaning with water also makes it suitable for beginners who are still mastering the maintenance of an airbrush.

A water-based acrylic paint. Ventilate and protect your airways when spraying. Gun cleaners may be flammable; keep them out of the reach of children just as you do the paint.
