Tamiya X-35 Semi Gloss Clear from Tamiya is a semi-gloss (satin) clear acrylic varnish supplied in a glass bottle with a volume of 10 ml. The X designation in the Tamiya system marks gloss or transparent shades, and the qualifier Semi Gloss a medium level of sheen. The resulting surface lies between fully matte and fully gloss and looks naturally satin. It is used as the final protective layer on a painted model.

Use

• a final semi-gloss (satin) overcoat on a finished, painted model
• unifying the sheen of the surface at a medium, satin level
• sealing and protecting the decals while keeping a gentle sheen
• thinned with Tamiya X-20A acrylic thinner and applied with a brush or an airbrush in thin coats
• suitable where a full matte looks too dry and a high gloss looks unnatural

Suitable for modelers who want to unify the sheen of a model at a natural satin level. It comes into its own on period vehicles, aircraft and figures, where a gentle, unobtrusive sheen of the surface is wanted.
