XC06 Tourmaline Green is a green modeling paint listed in the Gunze Mr.Color branch. The name refers to tourmaline, that is a green with a cool undertone shifted toward blue. It comes into its own on the covers and panels of robots, on vehicle accessories and on small parts where the green should be clean rather than faded in a military way.
Stir the paint thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles in the bottle and an unstirred shade dries unevenly. Choose the thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the bottle; a thinner from another paint system may curdle the paint. With an airbrush, apply several thin coats with a short pause for them to set, because one heavy coat floods the engraving and dries into patches. A brush works better on smaller surfaces, as the paint sets fast and the strokes are then harder to level out.
For modelers who paint in the Gunze Mr.Color system and want a ready shade without having to mix it from several bottles. The package contains the paint only; the thinner, brushes, an airbrush and a model are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and keep the paint out of the reach of children.
