The lighter field green Xpress Camouflage Green intended for camouflage patterns. Inside a blotch it creates its own transition, so multicolored camouflage does not need a separate shading solution for every color.

Camouflage Green is lighter and grayer than the dark green of armored vehicles, that is a tone suited as one component of a camouflage pattern. A pattern tends to be of two or three colors, and it is exactly there that the weakness of the usual procedure shows.
When a machine is painted in three colors, in the classic procedure it needs three different dark washes, because a single universal solution looks different over each of them: over a brown blotch it disappears, over a light green it brings out dirt, and over a sandy one it gives a cool cast. The modeler therefore mixes three shades of wash, has to store them and keep an eye on their ratios. A paint that carries its own shadow removes that collection, because every blotch brings its own deepening with it. The work on the boundary of the blotches also disappears, where a universal wash usually drew together into an unwanted edge.
The blotches are painted with a brush with a sharp point and a soft transition at the edge; a translucent coat forgives imprecision better than an opaque paint. On the boundary of two blotches it is recommended to let the first dry, or the shades will run together wet. Dust and mud are added right at the end, once the whole pattern is finished and cured. It also pays to try a few blotches out on an offcut of sprue with the same ground, because the ratio of the size and spacing of the blotches decides the credibility of a pattern more than the shade itself does.
