Aber Engrave plate (88 x 57 mm) – pattern 06 is an etched brass die for creating textured surfaces. With the plate you make your own sheet with a regular relief.
Responsibility details are not available.
An etched brass plate from the Polish maker Aber, pattern number 06. You work with it as with a form: you lay thin material on the pattern, burnish it and you get sheet with a relief that you cut to the shape you want. The working area of the plate is 88 x 57 mm without the frame. In the manufacturer's catalog it belongs among the meshes and embossing plates, that is among the workshop aids.
In diorama building you will value being able to make an area of any size and to put it together from several pieces with the same grid. See to it that the pattern follows on at the joint, so mark out in advance the direction in which you will lay the material on the plate. Metal foil holds its shape nicely after the impression, so it will even take a slight bend into a curve. Degrease the surface before painting and use a primer, otherwise the paint will rub off the raised spots.
For diorama builders and modelers who like to improvise and to fill out scenes with elements made by their own hand. The tool suits a workshop where building goes on across fields, because it is tied neither to one subject nor to one kit and you will use it on military vehicles just as on civilian scenes.
This is a modeling tool, not a kit. Material for transferring the pattern is not included in the package.
