The Boeing F/A-18E and F/A-18F Super Hornet is a carrier multirole aircraft that in the navy of the United States manages air combat as well as attacks on ground targets. The E version is single-seat, the F version has a second place behind the pilot. Besides combat squadrons these machines also serve in the role of an opponent during training, where they do not stand for themselves but for enemy equipment that crews learn to fight against. It is precisely the adversary machines that tend to be the most varied, because they wear conspicuous camouflages picked up from foreign air arms.
The set belongs among egg models. It does not keep to a scale and deliberately works with exaggeration: the fuselage is short and rounded, the cockpit on the contrary exaggeratedly large. Even so the silhouette of the aircraft stays legible, so you will recognize the Super Hornet at first glance. The build is short and calls for no experience with large kits.
Go by the instructions enclosed, as the order of the steps on shortened models is different from exact reductions. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the cut down. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting. Spray a varied adversary scheme in layers from the lighter shade to the darker and create the transitions freehand or over a soft mask that you lay on before spraying. Keep the soiling on a leash, as training machines tend to be well kept.
For modelers who collect carrier aircraft and want something lighter among them, and for beginners who want to try building and painting out on a small model. Paints, glue and tools are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
