Tamiya Fine Drill Set

A set of fine micro drill bits from the Japanese brand Tamiya intended for modeling work on small holes. According to its name it contains diameters in a range of approximately 0.3 / 0.4 / 0.5 / 0.6 / 0.8 mm, so it covers the most common needs during a build — from holes for barrels, antennas and wires to the preparation of mounts and detail. The bits are held in a hand holder (a pin vise).

Use

• Hold the bit in a pin vise — small diameters are drilled by hand, not in an electric drill, so that they do not break.
• Mark the spot with a point first, so that the bit does not wander.
• Drill slowly, squarely and without pressure; fine bits are fragile and break easily.
• Suitable for plastic, resin and softer metal parts.
