Fluorescent Orange (17ml)

Real Colors RC838 Fluorescent Orange, 17 ml

A modeling paint from the Real Colors range by AK Interactive, the manufacturer's part number RC838, in a 17 ml package. The name puts the shade among the fluorescent oranges, that is among the signal colors, which read as bright even in poorer light.

Where you will use the shade

Signal orange turns up on models on the warning stripes of trainers, on rescue and airfield vehicles, on floats and marker pieces and on work vehicles. It also suits anywhere a single detail on a diorama is meant to pull the eye out of an otherwise muted scheme.

How to work with the paint

• Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before you draw any out, as the pigment settles to the bottom.
• Fluorescent tones have poorer covering power, so lay them over a white surface; on gray or dark they lose their glow.
• Lay on several thin coats and let them dry between one another.
• For thinning and for cleaning the tools, use the thinner meant for the Real Colors range; the ratio is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
• Try the strength of the shade on scrap plastic with the same surface underneath as the model will have.

Storage and packaging

Close the bottle after work and store it away from heat and frost. Paint that has thickened can be thinned, but check the tone after thinning first.

The package holds one bottle of paint of 17 ml. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
